Is there anything wrong with drinking homebrew bottle-carbed cider right from the bottle? I ran across this and was wondering if it only applies to beer?

It's mostly yeast on the bottom of the bottle. It may not taste that great in cider or in most beer styles. Also it causes beer farts.

The choice is yours!

Thanks. I'll have to try it from a glass. I've been drinking German wheat beers right from the bottle too, guess I'm a hack

German wheat beers are one of those styles that can have yeast suspended in them. It contributes to the taste. In fact, some of those beers you are really supposed to roll on the bar to get the yeast back into suspension before drinking. No one really does that with cider though.
