Default DME + apple juice = bring it

So I have a bag of light DME I want to use this in a batch of cider.......not sure how. This is what I know DME acts as a sugar.

Questions do I need to boil this?
Should I still add table sugar and just treat the DME as a "flavoring"

Let me know please as I am severely puzzled and wish to use this in my cider

Brandon O has a graff recipe that sounds like what you're trying to do. I'd start there.

Primary: Strawberry Banana Cider, Caramel Apple Cider, White Grape IPA
Secondary:Sassy Saison Ale, Maple Nut Brown
On Deck: White Grape-Cherry Wine, Pineapple Wine, Wheat Graff
