Default brewing cider

I am a first timer. I just bought a plastic carboy full of unpastuerized apple cider. What is my first step? Do I transfer it to a glass carboy? Should it be full to the top? Do I have to add sugar/yeast? I need all the information I can get! Please help!

There's a cider forum, that's step one.

Glass carboy? Yes, that'd be preferred.

It should be pretty full, not all the way up to the top, depends on the vessel. You want a little room.

Yes, you have to add yeast. Sugar is optional.

I'd check the cider forum.

What are the ingredients in the cider? Asorbic acid is ok, but sorbate is not. If you don't have sorbate in it, you can pitch wine yeast or cider yeast in it and make hard cider.

I'd check the sg of the juice alone, first, before deciding whether or not to add sugar. You might have enough natural sugar in the cider to not want to add sugar to it.
