Default bottling in clear bottles

what are your thoughts on bottling ed worts apfelwein in clear bottles? bad idea or will it not affect the outcome?

You can bottle it in clear glass, green glass, or brown, but it's a good rule of thumb to store those bottles in the dark. If you do that, it won't matter what color the glass is.

No worries whatsoever, there are no hops in the apfelwein to worry about light...

In fact I save those clear glass bottles for just that purpose, since I wouldn't want to bottle my beer in them.....

(That is the major concern with clear bottles, the interaction of light with the isomerized alpha acids in hops-No hops, no need to worry about skunking.)

For my first batch I used a case of Champagne bottles and Newcastle 12 or 22oz bottles and have had no problems.
