I used a hydrometer for the first time today to take the gravity of my Apfelwein.
I believe I used it correctly and got a gravity of 1.00... I was planning on bottling tomorrow, am I safe to do so? I know Ed states that it should get down to 0.998.
Because I have never used a hydrometer I have no idea if the difference between 1 and .998 is significant at all, thoughts?
