Default Apfelwein and Gingerale

SO I followed edworts recipe to a T, as a 2.5gal batch. Just cut everything in half. I also added a cinnamon stick. Used Lavalin 1118 yeast (i think).

Let it sit for a month, carbed with dextrose. It's been two weeks in the bottle now. By itself the cinnamon is strong, and the finish is very very dry. Almost a bit too astringent.

Mixed half and half with gingerale though....It tastes like Apples mixed with Delicious. I think I found my new summer drink!!!

Question for the nerds: If I mix straight half and half, would it be safe to assume that cuts the ABV in half?

Yes. It would be diluted by half, but it will go twice as far...

Let me guess..."Canada Dry"???
