Default Apfelwein check.....bottling Graff

The Apfelwein I made in June had been in the bottle for 6 weeks, so I tasted a pint of it Friday. This is my first venture, so it was a test batch, made in a gallon jug, and kept as simple as possible (Sam's apple juice and Red Star Pasteur champagne yeast). Decent carbonation and undeniable alcohol, but just a hint of apple flavor, pretty watery, and virtually no mouthfeel. In short, about what I expected, particularly at this time. I have four 750ml. bottles, and I'll just leave them down there until Christmas, the way things stand now, then check again.

Meantime, my test batch of Graff is coming due for bottling this next week. I made 2.5 gal, just cut "Brandon O"'s recipe in half. I have higher hopes for this, I'll post back in a month....
