Default Another Sorbate question

I forgot to rack to a new carboy before adding my K sorbate. I was thinking I should add a little more to the new carboy when I rack tonight, but I dont want to overdo it. How much is overkill and is it a good idea to add more sorbate to my new carboy to rack on top of tonight? I read somewhere on here that I should not add the sorbate while the cider is sitting in the primary. Oops...
