Default Will this ruin my flavor

I just started a 1gal batch of must haven't pitched my yeast yet because my brew stores were closed. After my fermentation is getting close to complete I wanted to add bentonite to it to clear it up. Will bentonite give it any off flavors and would you guys recommend using in beer.

you should really wait until fermentation is complete before thinking about adding anything to your mead. If you bentonite while there is still fermentation activity, the yeast that settles to the bottom will keep bubbling and re-cloud the mead. As far as producing off flavors itself bentonite shouldn't.

Since the purpose of bentonite is to settle out solids, you should be racking off it anyway.
