Default Spices

When adding spices like cinnamon sticks at racking, how do you sanitize it? Can you soak in a few oz vodka? Or should I soak in campden and water?

Personally I haven't bothered, it's already alcoholic which will kill off most things, and im guessing your spices started off sealed so I don't see any reason to sterilised them. I guess if you really want to you could boil some water and add them to that before adding too your batch?
