Hi everyone so i just completed my very first mead batch and i was wanting to knowwhat i should be expecting in this brew ive been told it would bubble up and foam which it did a lot then bubble about 30 times a minute but my mead is only going at about 6 times a minute i uaed redstar bakera yeast could this be why its so slow? Any advice and tips would be very much appreciated!
The recipe was a whole large orange, 25 rasins, 1 pound of honey a stick of cinamon and a singal clove

Do you mean bakers yeasts??? Also, what was the recipe? Lack of aeration, low nutrition, and low PH all can lead to slow fermentation.

I shook the hell out of it and i was told the rasins were used as nutrients for the yeast as well as flavor, i have a 3 piece airlock on it could that possiblely be a reason it a not bubbling fast cause i looked in the jug and its churning really well and theres lots of bubbles forming but the lock is popping really slow
