Go-Ferm & Fermaid Dilemma
Will Go-Firm and Fermaid K do their job if added directly to the must without any prep (heating) prior to pitching the yeast?
If this is a problem how should I correct it (5 gals)? |
just pour it right in. heating does nothing for them.
|
Go Ferm is designed to aid in the rehydration process, and is supposed to be dissolved in the water you are using to rehydate your yeast. Fermaid K is a nutrient, and that goes in the must. Neither requires any heat.
|
Heat may actually destroy some of the vitamins in them.
