Divide by 4 or by 5?
This might be my first senior moment (age 49) but, if I'm scaling a 5 gal recipe that has about a gallon of honey and 4 gallons of water, do I divide by 4 or 5?
Thanks,
Greg

I'll call your senior moment and raise you a communication breakdown!
Could you restate the question?

scaling which direction and to what?
I'd be multiplying or dividing honey and water by whatever the scale is.

You divide by five, both the honey and the water, since you have five gallons net volume.
