The Dark Corner

Is it necessary to put fermenting or aging mead in a dark corner? In other words, does light produce any negative results?

No hops = no skunk.

Thanks, BP, I thought as much, but I've seen the reference to "dark corner" so often that I wanted confirmation.

You probably don't want it in direct sunlight still, just because that'll cause it to have more drastic temperature swings from day to night.

Light won't specifically hurt it, but it certainly won't do it any good.

keep it where ever you keep your wine/beer/booze.

*EDIT* thanks

For what its worth mine is normally in a closet but at the moment I have 2 batches sitting on my kitchen table under a blanket so that when they clear I can bottle.
