I corked the straight Honey and Black Berry mead. not knowing what to expect the straight mead is bland, very little tast and on the dry side. the
Black Berry is better but still a little bland.

Try it at 12 months and see the difference. You'll understand why aging is one of the more important parts of the process......

Looks like your corker needs a little adjustment, with them sticking out the tops like that they are more likely to fail. How did you make a bland blackberry? If you posted your recipe you might get more help. WVMJ
