Default Aging Temp

Can anyone tell me what temperature I should be aging my mead at? If possible I would like to get it out of the cool room it's in and put it in the back of the house where it's a bit hotter. What's the optimal temperature? Also... what would happen if I were to age it in the fridge? Thanks

Primary: Dry Irish Stout, Joe's Ancient Orange Mead
Secondary: Holiday spiced apple cider
Bottled: Irish Red Ale

Mead should be aged just like wine or beer. Cellar temps is ideal, but room tempurature is OK as well.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

If you want optimal temperatures for wine or mead, I'd say 55F but there are few of us who can maintain those conditions for the quantities we accumulate in this hobby. I think it's more important that you avoid wide, or rapid, temperature swings. I keep mine in an unheated and uncooled room off my basement and the temps range from 66F in the winter to 73F in the summer.
