Default Aearate 1 gallon batch of mead on a stir plate

At least for the first day or two?

Does this make any sense or is it just a bad idea?

Well, there is the transfer off the yeast bit to consider. And, I usually use a magnet to "fish" the stir bar out anyway. I did end up using the stir bar and I think it helped to keep the honey in suspension. Otherwise it all wanted to settle.
