Default Nubie

Hi everyone! My name is Tommy, I have been a big imperial ipa fan for the last three years and just recently I took a stab at brewing at home. I live in south orange county, ca and there is a home brew store in Laguna Niguel named o'shays where I picked up a clone of pliney the elder along with majority of the items needed to home brew. I just cracked open my first bottle of pliney (my second attempt/batch) and I must say. It doesn't taste anything like it. Taste like home brew flat beer lol with this remarkable outcome of actually tasting like beer (and without a headache I might add) I thought I would join and learn how to make my brew better. Cheers

Welcome! You'll find a ton of stuff here to help you hone your craft. "Pliny" is a great one, and don't worry if it doesn't turn out the way you expected at first. Remember practice make perfect (and its fun)

Welcome, and good luck with the learning - It's a big part of what I like about brewing.

Welcome

When you say its " flat " are you talking of no carbonation? Did you use enough priming sugar? Cold crash too soon? I'm a N00b as well but when i have a flat beer that's what i go back and look at is the carbonation process and find out where i messed it up.

Take notes and refer back to your brew log - Saves me a ton of headaches on my next batches.
