We were at a random little tavern near my mother-in-law's place, can't remember the name of the place but I think we were in Hammonsport, NY (Finger Lakes area).
The beer menu was so gorgeous, I had to take a photo... That's just bottles, I didn't get a shot of what they had on tap. Last edited by the_bird; 11-30-2006 at 02:37 PM. |

My local has 6 "Real Ale" Pull.
Normally a beer'll last 2 days so they always change. Never the same one repeated unless it's requested. |

My local is Golden Valley Brewery and it only serves Mark's brews. His seasonals include IPA Brut, Octoberfest and Tannen Bomb, a winter warmer. The other seven taps are all stock offerings.
[Sometimes he'll have a guest tap, but not very often. The Oregon Hotel has a wide variety of microbrews, but I don't go there much.]

Last Sunday I stopped by Growler's in Gaithersburg. At the time, they had:
Nut Brown Ale (my fave) I.P.A. Irvington Pale Ale (the hoppiest damned beer I've ever tasted) Cream Ale Kolsch Pumpkin Ale and they were pouring Shiner Hefeweizen and Guinness, but you can't buy those in a growler. I intend to stop by tomorrow to grab a couple pints. ![]()

My "local" pub is over 30 miles from my house.
I guess the local bar only serves BMC based upon the neon lights in the windows, but I've never been in there... ![]()
