Default San Diego...Karl Strauss & Gordon Beirsch

Anyone living in the SD area work for either of these breweries?

How about the San Diego Brewing Company as well?

Just wondering...thanks!

Haha. Two chains and probably my least favorite brewery in San Diego. Rough.

Yeah, I really dislike Gordon Beirsch (I don't like german styles in general though) and Karl Strauss is ok, but there are so many breweries that are so much better here. Stone, Lost Abby/Port, Alesmith, Ballast Point, coronado brewing, etc.

Why those two places?

I actually like Karl Strauss. I was out there during SD beer week and went to the 20th anniversary dinner at one of the Karl Strauss places. I sat across from Chris Cramer the ceo/founder. Very nice guy. Talked a ton about how he got the brewery started.

Gordon Beirsch was ok.

I had job interviews with both places last time I was out there.
I wanted to get some info from anyone who worked or works for either place.
I am heading back out in a few weeks.

I agree that there are a ton of amazing breweries in the SD area.
Was offered a part time position with Stone when I was there but turned it down because it was only part time and I need full time.
