Going to New Jeresy tonight
|
|
I've been there before and have trouble finding good brew. Inlaws live right outside Newark (Kearny) and all you can get in the area is some bud products. Not surprising as there is a huge bud factory within sight of their house. Most of the people there prefer bud light and such. I packed a few of my brews, 2 chocolate stouts, a apfelwine, and two vanilla caramel creams to share with them but that's for them. I was looking for a place in the area to get some good brews.
Anyone have a suggestion? Anyone live there?
(sorry this is in General but more traffic in here and I'm leaving tonight)

Well, not exactly close, but there's the Gaslight brewpub in West Orange.

check out Hoboken, about fifteen minutes from Kearny. Take The PATH train out of Harrison that's the next town over from kearny. Parking is tough in Hoboken.

Redbank is a half hour south of me, or one hour south of Kearny. Stick to West Orange... Gaslight.

J.W. Bittings had a killer Octoberfest. But that is probably out of your way.

I've heard great things about Andy's Corner Bar in Bogota, about 20 mi north.
