Hmm, perhaps BAR has improved their beers? I used to go to their $1 pint Thursdays often and found it hard to find a decent beer (the blond was alright for a session beer and when they had their hef. that was good). The pizza was always bomb though, but come on, New Haven has the best pizza in the world.

Rudy's was a great spot for a while: nothing goes better with beer than pomme fritte.

I have plenty of love for the ol' CT, but I'm in Oregon now a.k.a. Beervana.

I don't really have much love for CT (at ALL), but I definitely enjoyed sitting with the doors open having a few good slices of pizza and a good beer.

They had some issues with dirty beer lines for awhile and the owners didn't want to shell out the cash for new ones, but the brewmaster finally won the argument and it made a huge difference
