Yakima?
I'll be coming out that way in a couple of weeks - weekend of 5-6 Aug.
Where's the BEST brew pub?
I'll buy the first round.....
Anyone? Bueller, Bueller?

All I know about that place is that they grow hops there. Right?

Yakima is in Washington State.
Actually they gorw hops all around there, Sunnyside, Toppenish. Been there done that....
Incidently, Toppenish is where the American Hop Museum is located. They have murals on the walls in town and a guide telling you what the pictures represent. Mostly about how the Native-Americans cultivated (picked) hops for the growers.

I grew up there. The pubs you want to go to are Bert's Pub and McGuires.

If you get time to head to Sunnyside, check out Snipes:

There's a place on the 2nd floor where Bert's is, called the Hopvine (same place where the Warehouse used to be). Last time I was in there (one month ago +/-) they had Abyss on tap. Mmmmm.....

I think this thread was started over five years ago, but in case anyone is still viewing these pages...
Check out Sports Center on Yakima Ave. Great beer selection but even better food and an awesome casual atmosphere. Also, Bob's Keg and Cork is just off Yakima Ave and I've never had a bad time there.
Of course, Yakima Craft Brewing Co. is a necessary stop, although their tasting room is a bit small and it has a very industrial, factory-type feel inside the brewery, but the beer is quite good.
If you're on your way to Yakima, I definitely recommend stopping by Iron Horse Brewery in Ellensburg. Great beer!
