Default Fermentation chamber question

Planning on building a fermentation chamber using a mini fridge. Any advantage/disadvantage of using a smaller "cube" type fridge rather than "full size" mini fridge. Planning on building this chamber large enough to fit several carboys or primary buckets or my 15.5 gallon fermenter.

I plan on using this idea: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/anot...-build-253949/

I don't really see any advantage to either aside from the smaller one being easier to work with and move if necessary.

If your chamber is properly insulated they should perform pretty similarly.

I'm terrified that he's enclosing the fridge in 2x4s, (or so it looks). Exterior of the fridge needs to be open to the air to vent heat, or else it can't cool.

To answer your question though, I use a tiny cube fridge, and I can bring 6 carboys down to 50* without any trouble. Fridge is at least 25 years old, 1.5" styrofoam, and a ****load of tape.

I think with the smaller one a fan is necessary.

Yeah - with mine I have 1 fan wedged into the freezer coils to move air over them, and 1 fan at the threshold between fridge and styrofoam box.
