Default Lid for a keggle

I used an angle grinder to cut the top off a half barrel keg to make a keggle and will be doing the same for my HLT. What is generally done for lids on these things? Or is that just skipped?

If it's for boiling wort, you wouldn't really want a lid. I suppose during chilling you could use one, but I use foil or nothing. A turkey fryer lid will often fit on them though.

Some weld a couple washers onto the area they cut out and use that. I use the lid from my old 5G speckled pot.

Dollar store pizza pan.
Fit my kettles perfectly and just need to add a bolt and wing nut for a handle.

The lid from my 5 gallon pot fits like a glove...it was completely unintentional too.
