Default Another Angle Grinder Jig For Making Keggles

Just (finally) got around to making my jig for my angle grinder to cut the tops off of my kegs. I managed to throw it together today on my lunch break, gonna see if I have some time to do the cutting tomorrow. I've read a million threads on it, and stole the basic concept from someone(forgive me if I don't remember who). But it looks like it'll work pretty well. I did it on the cheap, and cheap is good.

Parts list:
1 1/2" PVC(Only about 3")
1 1/2" PVC Slip Cap
1/4-20 Threaded Rod(about 5")
1/4-20 Nuts and 1/4 Washers
Simpson A23Z Bracket
DeWalt Metal/Stainless 4 1/2" Cutoff Wheel
Harbor Freight Chicago Electric Heavy Duty Angle Grinder 4 1/2"(Item 91223)
Duct Tape, to make the fit tighter in the center hole. Yes, just personal preference.

Default Update: Keggles are now topless

So I managed to get the tops cut off this morning. It's a good feeling, progress. My manly assistant, Tut(as in King Tut), decided to join in on the pictures.

Gear:
1 or 2 Stainless/Metal 4 1/2" Cutoff wheels
1 Metal Grinding wheel 4 1/2"(Barely used it, needed to roughly smooth the cuts)
1 Flap Sander Disc 4 1/2" 40 Grit(Used for starter sanding)
1 Sheet 150 Grit Sandpaper(Used to hand sand the edge to a smooth finish)

All in all, I ended up with a VERY smooth edge on the kettle. Won't have any cut arms or snagged shirts. Woot!

Now I just have to clean them and move on to the next stages....slowly, but surely.
