Default weight of pulley wheel

I'm in the process of motorizing my monster mill. I need to reduce the rpms of the AC motor I'm using so I order a 13" steel pulley wheel. I received the wheel today and it is heavy.

For those who have used a large pulley wheel with their monster mill, should I be concerned with the effect of the weight of the pulley wheel on the mill's shaft?

Default

I'd think the belt tension would be greater than the pulley's weight...

Cheers!
