Default how to calculate angles for pipe notching?

I have three pieces of pipe forming a right triangle, A is 12", B is 22", and C = 25" (hypotenuse).

I need to calculate the angles for how to notch C to make a right triangle. Of course. What is the formula for this?

Well you need some trigonometry, which I'm bad at but if you put triangle helper into Google there are good "homework helper" sites you can just plug your numbers into...

Inverse trig functions are what you need:

arcsin (12/25) = 28.7°
arcsin (22/25) = 61.6°

Note that google calculator will evaluate these quantities but by default expresses the result in radians. My compound miter box isn't set up in radians so to convert to degrees multiply by (180/pi). Or alternatively google "arcsin (12/25) in degrees". Hope this helps.
