Used brown sugar/ honey/ and cinnamon sticks in Apfelwein. Getting darker with time?
So I racked 5 gallons of Apfelwein that I had into a 5 gallon carboy and added some steamed cinnamon sticks and some honey mixed with boiling water to the batch. Its been aging for good month and its getting prgressively darker over the weeks.
Is it because I used brown sugar as a primary? Or one of my flavor adders?
Need I worry?
It's forom the cinnamon sticks, and nothing at all to worry about. Keep your hands off that apfelwein and let it age. :)
