Is star san suitable for sanitizing wine making equiptment or just for beer?

Don't see why not. I think I've even read about people using it to sanitize kitchen counters and cutting boards when they handle raw meat. Could be wrong though

I just thought the bubbles may have a negative effect on wine..What is the common sanitizer used for wine making?

Starsan is fine. It is the common sanitizer for wine making, along with iodophor.
