Default Stabilizer

Is it possible to restart the fermentation of a barley wine weeks after mistakenly adding stabilizer to it?

Not certain but leaving it a while, then repitching a healthy starter might work?
I think the compounds break down after a while.

sorbate, no ... K meta (potassium metabisulfite) possibly, depending on how much free so2 is now in the wine... http://www.accuvin.com/Products%20Free%20SO2.html

basic kit starts at 65 so it's a bit pricey... If it was me and my money, I would chalk it up as a learning experience
