Default simple syrup question

I made a simple syrup for my gooseberry wine tonight. The wine turned out good if i say so myself and my wife. My question about the syrup is, will it keep if i put it in container, i made entirely to much of it to use in one sitting. Any suggestions and responses are appreciated. Happy wine making.

You can save it tightly sealed in the fridge, little to go wrong with it.

I keep simple syrup for weeks and even months in a sealed glass bottle in the fridge. I use it to cook, bake, and make my wife's margaritas. I have never had it go bad. I would probably bring it up to a boil again if I were going to be adding it to anything fermenting, but for general purpose use, I just use it right out of the bottle.
