made a plum wine and transfered it to seconday last night, it is very bitter like lemons, lol
could i add sugar to it in the secondary what ya'll reckon

if you add sugar in secondary it will just start fermenting again. id say wait til its done then stabalize and backsweeten or use a non-fermentable sweetener

When did you make it, and what are your gravity readings? If you can provide a little more information on how you made it and the ingredients you used, it would help.

With that said, I agree with socalamcor do not add sugar to your secondary.

Fermentation continues in Secondary. I have added sugar to increase OA and sweetness instead of backsweeting. It is ok to mess around and try new things. Not all will turn out but next time someone ask a question you may be the answer. See, every answer here was learn by someone doing it
