Default Plum Wine

Got a text message on my phone from SWMBO today -
'My Dad's picked some Plums for you - he says you'd better use them'.

He works as a Landscape Gardener so occasionally gets to pick free fruit.

'How many?' I replied to her, hoping for maybe a couple of pounds for the freezer for cooking or bulking out a cider maybe.

'I don't know - 4 Kilos?'.

As I'm a typical male I assumed she meant pounds and not kilos, said 'Class!' and forgot about it until arriving home.

11lb of Free Ripe Plums have just been de-stoned and mashed into a brew bucket for about 3 gallons worth!!!

I've done plum wine once. While I still living in California, my business partner's trees had a bumper crop. She stripped the trees after a deer punched a hole in a skylight (steep slope) eating them. It was good.
