Default Pitching on the Cake

Anybody try pitching a new batch of Apfelwein on the yeast cake from their last batch? Good idea or bad idea?

Ya.
The last batch I made I did that. It started fermenting almost immediately. Then I put it in the basement....where it's slowly gone to abut 42F and it's slowed WAY down. Not a fair assessment of the results I'd say. I will bring it back up to finish tonight.....Glad you said that. I'd almost forgotten I needed to do that.
