Sucked the rubber stopper directly into the carboy with the vaccum pump.

Guess I will re-rack and pull it out of there.

And I was just telling my wife that it does happen, but not to me!

If you have another stopper, you can just leave the other one in there until it's time to rack. Trust me, I know from experience that it'll be fine!

I spent a few hours last evening cleaning, sterilizing, racking and re-racking to get that thing out of there!

The good news is that I saved a glass of the Brunello and it is SO GOOD!!!!!
