My Wedding Wine
|
|
So my wedding is coming up this spring or summer, and I want to make the wine for the celebration. Food will be a pig roast, deer, and a bunch of other stuff.
So wine experts, any suggestions?

I bet a pinot noir would go really well with those foodings. I'm no expert, but a solid bodied red usually pairs well with dark game and complex beef dishes; in my experience, at least.
Best of luck finding your perfect pairing!

Skeeter Pee works for the party, but something a little more high class would be nice for the initial nonsense

I would say if your wedding is in the spring/summer of 2012, you're pretty much limited to kit wines that will be ready by then.
There are some decent kits in the $80/90 range that make 6 gallons. Otherwise, a few months isn't really long enough to make a quality wine.
You could try a lower ABV mead. Saccharomyces from this forum makes a very nice young mead, but it requires nutrients, degassing, etc, that aren't quite as hands-off as a wine kit. But I know he's made really good mead in a very short period of time!
