Looking for a pumpkin wine recipe

I have done some searching and have come up empty. I want to make a 5 gallon batch of pumpkin wine that will resemble a pumpkin pie. I'm not sure where to start with this simply because I have never made a pumpkin pie before and my wine making is limited as well. If anyone has a recipe please share as I am thankful for as much help as I can get. This forum has been a great help to me with the wine I have done so far. SWMBO thinks this wine will either be really good or REALLY bad. Thanks in advance.

Lots of pumpkin beers available, but I've never heard of pumpkin wine.

I'm pretty sure gourds are mostly starchy and not very sugary, so maybe flavoring a mead with pumpkin would be better?

I'd be glad to see what others come up with, though!

Also, I found this recipe a while back. It goes against some of the principles that I've learned here on the forums and in other recipes, but it seems like an interesting method to try out, especially if pumpkins are cheap and abundant:

Either way, It would be great it you could give some feedback on any recipes you try out. I'll be starting a batch of something with pumpkins in early November!

That 2nd link looks pretty suspicious... lol!

The first one looks like pretty much the standard way to make wine, just using pumpkins.
