My current plan is to age 4-5 days, taste and figure out where I want to go from there.

I mimic GinKings comments. I left mine sealed for 4 weeks then siphoned in...no rinsing, no sanatizing, no additional bourbon....just straight in. BTW...I did a detailed writeup on my process in another post http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f14/how-make-15-bourbon-barrel-aged-imperial-stout-350339/
