With my beer, I use Star San and it lasts for a very long time before I replace it. I was just wondering if anybody knows how long a batch of k-meta will keep in a covered bucket? Right now it is about 6 weeks old and has a very strong smell when the lid is taken off.

I have not used that brand but the rule of thumb I use is that its no good when It looses it properties. Ex: star san does not bubble as much or at all and is not "slippery" when its all used up.
IMO..... When in doubt throw it out because it is cheaper to toss some sanitizer out than to toss a batch!
