Hi all

I was in the middle of making up 3 demijohns of wine,

1x strawberry
1x cherry
1x grape

I just added the yeast to 2 of the demijohns when I realised that I had ran out and didnt have any left over for the 3rd one Confused

Although the missus has some -

Hovis Fast Action Bread Yeast
& some
Tesco Fast Action Dried Yeast

Just wondering if these can be used as I wont be able to get to the homw brew shop till around next weekend?

Anyone used bread/baking yeast?

I wouldn't.

Yeast strains are isolated for certain characteristics.

You'll get less than satisfying results even if it ferments.
