Default Can I use raisins with sulfer dioxide as a preservative

I am going to make some cooking wine with Jack Keller's jalapeno wine recipe I picked up some golden raisins as the recipe calls for but, after taking a closer look sulfur dioxide is listed as a preservative. Can I still use these or should I keep looking?

I'd guess that in solution (like must) that the sulfer dioxide would come out, rather like using other sulfer tabs and waiting 24 hours.
