Default Blackberries - Fianal tally
I have finally planted all my blackberries. I now have 10 Kiowa, 3 Apache, 3 Natchez and 3 Ouchita. That should give me enough berries in a few years to make a couple batches of wine.

I am officially jealous.

Are the non Kiowa varieties for some sort of recipe development?

Blackberries are one of my favorites fresh,I am sure they will make great wine!

The Kiowa (thorny) should be coon proof. I have a big coon problem. The Apache, Ouachita and Natchez (thornless) are because I just wanted to try some thornless varieties in a separate bed I made. My brother has Arapaho, and these are rated better than that variety. Plus, where they are planted I can easily make them coon proof.

gota grow alot of berries to make wine because they taste so good. Now tell me how you make them KID proof
