Default Best Yeast

What is the best kind of yeast to use for strawberry wine? The recipe I have calls for D47 but I can't find it at my local store...

You might try Lalvin K1V-1116. Choose your yeast like you would choose a tool. Here's a handy link: http://winemaking.jackkeller.net/strains.asp Regards, GF

GF is right. A good yeast is like a good tool. My opinion would be to use Lavin 71B-1122 (bread for preservation of fruit flavor). I've used it for strawberry mead and WOW I could really taste the strawberries.
