My wife and I have been interested in making our own wine for a while now, and I was wondering what everyone's opinions are about what the best what the best winemaking book is.
there are lots of free PDFs out there but if you want a really good book, get "the joy of home winemaking"
by Terry Garey. ISBN 0-380-78227-8
It's easy to follow, lots of recipes, over all a really good book.
Ha! That's the only winemaking book I have and I enjoy it. I expect there is much more out there though. I ended up overloading on sugar with a recent batch of Nanking Cherry wine following the 'Pie Cherry Wine' recipe in the book, but it's happily bubbling away right now - thanks to help from this forum. I will enjoy seeing what else is recommended.
