Default Apfelwein mixes well with...?

Some folks are mixing stuff in their Apfelwein at serving time.

What has worked well..??

Right now I am using some peach puree drink (as used in making a Bellini) and it 's OK.

A stout and cider mix was much better than I had expected.

You may be right...

From Wiki of course:
With stout
The name snakebite is commonly mistakenly applied to a combination of stout (often Guinness ) and cider. This is properly referred to as a Poor Man's Black Velvet.

Yeah I used to drink with some girls while I was in London that ordered Snakebites and they got Cider/Lager (usually Carlsberg)/ and I think grenadine (definitely something to make it red)

Ok, so, if you are not "with some girls", and you are not in London (been there, there is no %$#@ sun!), what do you use to mix AW with..??

Haha, sorry I did not make it clear at all, but...

Try a lager and grenadine!! Half cider/half lager with a splash of granadine, should look something like cranberry juice, I did try it and it wasn't bad!
