Default Home brew competitions in London area?

I have seen multiple adverts in US magazines for home brew competitions in the states. Are there any in the UK, close to London? Where would I find out? My beer is not that good (yet!) but I would like to get some critical feedback and see what others are up to?

Hi Murray

Here's a couple of links to start you off:

http://www.gbhomebrew.co.uk/

Your best bet might be to join a local Homebrew club. Google for those.

Eg. http://www.countybeermakers.org.uk/about/about.htm

They tend to have local comps/tastings and then move up to the Nationals.

Great. It looks like there Is actually quite an active scene for this. Looking forward to getting involved. Now I just got to hope my beer is drinkable!
