So I have been in the K-town area for about a year and just got around to brewing my first batch. The hooch is in the keg an I found out I can't have my US spec CO2 bottled filled here. Any suggestions on options? I am at the point now that I am looking at purchasing a German Spec CO2 bottle and regulator...not sure on regulator but it would appear to be pricey. Any chance I could find an adapter for the German tank and use my US spec regulator? Any help would be appreciated
Got an Oktoberfest ready to drink and no way to get it out of the keg :-(
On deck is an IPA or ESB clone...forgot what the wife ordered me
Thanks for any suggestions

You'll have to buy a German spec tank, but you can have an adapter made for you. I friend of mine had it done here in K-town, I'll shoot him an email to find out where.

May as well jump in here. Im not exactly in the K-town area but I live in Worrstadt and work in Wiesbaden. We are just settling in. I may get the brew rig fired up before the end of the month. I havent found a replacement pump or worked out fittings/ferm temp control or even where to get my malt from yet, Im thinking Best Malz is only a couple towns over and their prices bulk are pretty reasonable so I may just buy straight from them. Ill post brew days so if anyone would want to come by and drink beer, laugh at me when I boil over, or whatever

So I jumped in and bought the German tank, another country and another unique set-up. The website to the British store is quite expensive to get the European nut here to Germany but I found a site in the US that sells the European nut for the regulator.
@Chris...good to hear. I am a Intermediate brewer, ie extract and partial mash. Haven't jumped into all grain but I may take you up on the offer to see what the process entails.
Cheers

T looks like you are about 2 hrs north of K-Town (Kaiserslautern). Not a bad drive...we can get together to brew and discuss all things zymurgy. Currently, I have two batches on deck that I need to brew.
