Default So does anyone else care about the wiki?

I've kind of taken it on myself to try to weed all of the spam out of the HomeBrewTalk wiki the last few months, because it offends me personally and I want the wiki to be useful. However, weeding through the changes on a near daily basis is a pain and I'm getting tired of the grind.

Does anyone else care? If so, can you take a look every now and then?

I was out of town for a week and the spam on the Wiki was just brutal. I've cleared out about 50 pages, but there's a bunch more to do. Can someone else please put a few minutes on this?

I'm trying! It seems like the blogs and the wiki are the hardest hit. Once it's cleaned up, maybe we can somehow limit access for changes and that could really help.

Yes, there's a Wiki. See the top of the page for the link (between "Recipes" and "Groups"). I think it's a great resource.

I know it defeats the purpose of a wiki, but maybe there should be a more stringent allowance of access for editing.

Oh, and remember to always wiki before sticky.

I've been using it frequently as of late and the effort is appreciated.

Would it be possible to have a 25 post minimum before being able to edit it? Obviously time as a member doesn't matter to them so a post minimum would be able to only other alternative, I think.

holy jeebus! we definitely need some sort of control on this. Another forum I go to also has a wiki but before you edit a post there is a quick page that makes you click something before it lets you go to the editing or new article pages. AFAIK they havent had any problems with spam. I should be able to get more info on it if you would like.
(also if we are trying to delete the article we only replace the ext iwth the delete template right?)

also could an admin go to Categoryelete - Home Brewing Wiki and delete the articles?

Thanks!
