I could not get them with my usual email address. I changed to an email address that I have with a GoDaddy account and it works. I am able to receive notifications now.
Trouble was something to do with my ISP's mail server. I think anyway. You may need to try a different email account. Might try one of the free web based ones.

I was able to get e-mail notifications on my yahoo account at one time, but now I have to use a gmail account. I was never able to get them on my real account.

Well, it looks like it's a problem with my ISP. Notifications to my gmail account are coming through fine. Emails are coming through from forum_mail@homebrewtalk.com so now that I know that, I'm going to see if I can add that email to an "allow" list or something in the settings section of my service provider.

I'm not getting email notifications either. I'm a new user, so I've never had any other email address set up in the HBT forums.
I'm not getting update notifications on subscribed threads, and I didn't get any sort of welcome email when I signed up (most forums send out some sort of welcome email -- I'm assuming HBT might as well). I host my own email and don't use any filters that might be blocking anything server-side, so I know it's not a problem with my email server/ISP. Have any HBT admins double-checked the SMTP server config and routing since people started posting about the email notifications? I think those of us who are experiencing this problem would REALLY appreciate it. |

not getting them either. I am a member of other forums and I get their email notifications just fine, same address. What gives?
Just check my setting and i am NOT blocking ANY emails from anybody. I figured that by all the crap I get. Problem must be with the sender's server and or settings. Please do fix it.
